5 simple steps for an extraordinary wap presence
Now it's easy to have your own wap site. Click on Register, located on the top right side of this website and you'll obtain access to our friendly wap site builder.
After you successfuly login into your Wap-Gen account, click Control Panel, from where you can manage your wap sites. Below we've prepared a small video showing how you can easily create your own WAP site.
To make your site visible to anyone, you'll need to create a CNAME DNS entry that points to the following address: m.wap-gen.com.
What is a CNAME DNS entry?
A CNAME record or Canonical Name record is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) that specifies that the domain name is an alias of another, canonical domain name.

Setup DNS on Freedns.Afraid.org
- Login into your account.
- Click Domain below the Main Menu section.
- Click Manage the domain you'd like to use with WapGen.
- Click Add .
- Check CNAME in Type field.
- Under Subdomain, enter only the part of your website address that you designated in your WapGen control panel. For example, if you picked m.mydomain.com as your website's address, just enter m as the entry under Subdomain.
- Enter m.wap-gen.com under Destination.
- Click Save.
Setup DNS on H-Sphere
- Login into your hosting account.
- Click Manage below the Hosting Account section.
- On the left side, click the domain you'd like to use with WapGen.
- Next to DNS Configuration, click EDIT.
- Click Add DNS CNAME Record.
- Under Name, enter only the part of your website address that you designated in your WapGen control panel. For example, if you picked m.mydomain.com as your website's address, just enter m as the entry under Name.
- Enter m.wap-gen.com under Data.
- Click Submit.
Setup DNS on 1and1
- Log in to your account at https://admin.1and1.com.
- If it's not already selected, click the Administration tab.
- Click Domains. The Domain Overview page appears.
- From the New drop-down menu, select Create Subdomain. (If you've already created a subdomain for your website's address, skip to step six.).
- For domain verification: Enter the unique string that is available in your control panel.
- Select the checkbox next to the subdomain. (Example: m.mydomain.com).
- From the DNS menu, select Edit DNS Settings.
- Click the radio button next to CNAME.
- Next to Alias, enter wap-gen.com for domain verification or m.wap-gen.com for a custom URL..
- Click OK.
If your DNS hosting service is missing or you need support setting up DNS for your domain, please contact us.
Once you've added and activated your domain, you can start customizing your wap site layout and content. A temporary customization link will be automatically generated when you create your wap site. This will no longer be active after your CNAME DNS entry is updated and Wap-Gen notified. Your new customization link will be: http://yourdomain.com/admin/.
To access your administration section, use same username and password you've used on Wap-Gen registration.
Using the administration section, you can easily add / edit or delete pages or content elements like images, videos, RSS feeds.
