1. What can you do with WapGen?

With WapGen you can create very easy wap sites. You can create unlimited wap pages that may include text, images, movies, forms or RSS.

2. How to create an account on WapGen?

For creating an account on WapGen you have to go Register and fill Account Details and Personal Details. Please don't forget to read the Terms and Conditions.

3. How to add a mobile site into your WapGen account?

After you login, go to Control Panel and Add Site. Fill the inputs from the Add Site page.

4. What is WapGen Banner System?

WapGen Banner System is a platform for promoting you wap site among other wap sites from the same category. If you chose to upload your banner and activate the WapGen Banner System, your banner will appear randomly on the other site from your chosen category and also others banners will appear on your site pages. This option is by default activated during trial period and after that if you renew your account you will be able to opt-out from WapGen Banner System.

5. How can you edit your DNS zone for your domain by adding a new CNAME record ("Domain") pointed to m.wap-gen.com?

A CNAME record or Canonical Name record is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) that specifies that the domain name is an alias of another, canonical domain name.

6. How to change the template and colors of the wap site?

First login, go to Control Panel and click on Manage Site. After you enter in the administration area, click on Page Settings. From there you can change templates, colors, add logo, add icons, change CSS and configure Seo Settings.

7. How to add your logo in the header?

Go to Page Settings on Manage Site and click on Add Image from the Your logo input. The Maximum width for the logo is 800px and the available image formats (.jpg or .gif).

8. How to change the CSS style sheet of your wap site?

From Page Settings in Manage Site, click on Download default CSS, modify the CSS as you want and after that upload your new version of CSS by clicking on Add Css file.

9. What type of pages can I create with WapGen?

With WapGen you can create static pages, article pages, RSS pages and form pages.

10. How to create a static page with text?

Go to Add Page in administration panel, choose Static page from Page type, enter Page Title* and Friendly URL. After that you can create content defined by sections. The content can by text, image, movie and separators.

11. How to add a text to a wap page?

Every wap page created with WapGen is divided into sections. By selecting Text Section from Section type you can introduce text into a section. You can also format the text (bold, italic, underline, alignment) or add a link into the text.

12. How to add a image to a page?

You can put a image in every wap page created by you. Just select Image section from Section type and after that upload your image (known formats .jpg and .gif). You can set a link to the image (external or internal link) and align the image.

13. How to add a movie to a page?

You can put a movie in every wap page created by you. Just select Movie section from Section type and after that upload your movie (known formats .3gp, .mp4, .avi, .mov, .wmv). You can also set a Download text and align the movie.

14. How to create a separator section?

Every page in WapGen can have separators. If you want to create one, just select Section Separator from Section type.

15. How to add a new user?

After you login in the Administration panel you need to click on Add user. Choose the level for the user (Administrator, Editor, Developer, Demo user) and fill the Account details and Personal details inputs.

16. How to change the level of an existing user?

Go to Manage users and after that click on Edit user icon in order to change the level of the user or the account/personal details.

17. How to create more sections into a page?

In order to create more section for a wap page you just have to click on Add new Section button. You can anytime Clone one section, Delete the section or change the orders of the section by clicking on the up/down arrows.

18. How to make my main menu in more then one row?

If you want to make your main menu in more then one row you have to click on the Page Settings and change from Template and Colors section ? Menu lines per row.

19. How to create a RSS Page?

Click on Add Page, select RSS Page from Page type, add Friendly URL, Page Title, RSS URL. You can change the number of posts to be shown in one page and you can enable or disable the Search for the RSS page.

20. How to edit the RSS posts from a RSS page?

To edit the post from a RSS page you have to go to Manage (your RSS page name). You can edit, deactivate delete or change the order of your posts from RSS.

21. How to create a Contact Form?

Click on Add Page, select Form Page from Page type, add Friendly URL, Page Title, customize text for Submit Button and enter you email in the input Send form data to this email. After you've completed this steps you have to add your desired inputs in order to collect that will be send in your email. To add a form input you have to select Form section from Section type, after that you have to select Section form type (3 types: text, textarea, dropdown) and enter the Section Form Name.

22. How to build a widget in WapGen?

Any pages of the WapGen site have in the footer the link Widgets, click on it and after that enter the mobile url, dimensions, colors and generate the widget code. The widget has a QR code that will help you to promote your mobile site.
